"I know that for some of the guys in the band, getting on stage is more scary than other guys in the band. But I will say that for all of us, it's definitely the thing that we want to do. It feels like the right way to celebrate Chester." Mike Shinoda via Rolling Stone
“Eternally grateful for the love, life and creative passion you shred with us and the world,” Linkin Park continued. “We miss you more than words can express.”
Linkin Park bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell also remembered Bennington on Instagram Thursday. “Chester, in the past year, there hasn’t been a day that has gone by that I haven’t thought of you. I miss you, and it still hurts to not have you here,” Farrell wrote.
“And today, a year after your passing, I still struggle to try and eloquently express what you mean to your family, your friends, your fans… and to me. There is so much that I feel, and that I could say, and that I would want to say, and that I don’t know how to say… but one thing I know for certain, is that you are loved, and you are missed.”

ROLLING STONE INTERVIEW
In a recent interview, Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda admitted, "I know that for some of the guys in the band, getting on stage is more scary than other guys in the band. But I will say that for all of us, it's definitely the thing that we want to do. It feels like the right way to celebrate Chester."Shinoda added that it was producer Rick Rubin who encouraged the group to perform live again. "[Rubin] said: 'I know you guys know this, and I know it's obvious because you're looking at social media, I think you guys need to get on stage. I think that's going to be the thing that'll feel good. It'll be super, super hard … The fans want to see you, but most importantly, not because they want to see a show, there's a cathartic experience that needs to happen,'" Shinoda said.
